2008 RESNET Building Performance Conference to have Carbon Neutral
Footprint
RESNET has offset 100% of the carbon dioxide emissions associated
with hosting the annual conference. This includes emissions generated
from the facilities and participant travel. RESNET arranged with
Carbonfund.org to offset its carbon emissions. Carbonfund.org
purchases and retires “carbon credits”, including Chicago Climate
Exchange Carbon Financial Instruments (CFIs) or Environmental Resources
Trust-certified energy efficiency credits.. RESNET will offset the
emissions by purchasing energy efficiency certificates, “White Tags”.
