To find certified raters in your state, select your state below. If there are Certified Raters who are RESNET members in your state, they will show up first on the list and then all the Rating Providers in your state will show up at the bottom of the list. You can either contact one of the certified raters listed or you can contact the individual rating provider organizations to get a list of their certified raters.

RESNET has adopted a number of standards and procedures aimed at enhancing the credibility of rating services:

  • RESNET Code of Ethics
  • RESNET Standards of Practice
  • RESNET Financial Interest Disclosure
  • RESNET Complaint Resolution Process
RESNET issues a Rater Seal of Quality to its rater members who subscribe to these highest standards. These raters have committed to RESNET that they will meet the high standards of ethics and quality. RESNET Rater Seal of Quality
In order to verify a home for the federal tax credit for energy efficient homes the certified rater or the rater's company must have professional liability insurance coverage in the amount of at least $500,000. The rater must provide to RESNET a signed declaration to RESNET that the company has such coverage. Raters whose listing in the directory has this icon have submitted to RESNET the required documentation. It is simple to submit the documentation. To learn what is required click on Requirements to Certify the Energy Efficient Homes Credit.
