Benefits of RESNET Membership
RESNET has two visions for success for the rating industry. The first
is setting the standards for quality of rating services thereby
enhancing the credibility of the entire rating industry. The second is
to help raters succeed in becoming profitable businesses. RESNET
believes that your success as a rater is everyone’s success. The
RESNET Board of Directors have been working to enhance our services to
rater members. We are pleased to announce a new definition of what being
a rater member of RESNET means. The definition of being a rater member
of RESNET is that you as a rater subscribe to a high standard of quality
and should be recognized as such.
RESNET recently has adopted a number of principles aimed at enhancing
the credibility of our services:
- Code of Ethics
- Standards of Practice
- Financial Interest Disclosure
Subscribing to these principles will lead to increased consumer
confidence. By being a RESNET member rater you are demonstrating to
the world your commitment to high standards of ethics and quality.
In return for this commitment, RESNET will:
- Post your company on the RESNET web site directory of raters.
Beginning on January 1, 2005, only RESNET rater members will be
listed on RESNET’s web site.
- You will be given a special RESNET member seal that will show
your commitment to high standards.
- Eligibility for affordable business and professional liability
insurance that is only available to RESNET member raters.
- Access to a pass word protected RESNET web site on rater
business development that presents tools to assist you as a rater to
grow your business and become a more active player in your housing
market. This web site will continually be updated with new
strategies and tools for success.
- Free subscription to Home Energy Magazine, the premier journal
of the home performance industry (a $65 value).
RESNET is dedicated to increasing the quality of rating services as
the industry grows. Your affiliation as a member of RESNET demonstrates
your commitment to high technical and ethical standards. This should
enhance your credibility with new and existing clients and keep you one
step ahead of your competitors. Remember RESNET is a 501 (c)(3)
non-profit organization. Donations to RESNET can be tax deductible.
