Step One - June 30, 2004

Develop Plan of Action for Your Business

  • Define which potential partners you will target
  • Decide and define services you provide that you will communicate to your targeted partners
  • Define your message to the targeted partners
  • Develop action plan with time lines

Step Two - August 30, 2004

Develop Plan of Action for Your Business

  • One-on-one cold calls to recruit builder and lenders in your market
  • Develop and release news release on being a certified energy rater and the services you provide or the availability of energy efficient mortgages
  • E-mail the above to Claudia Ahrens Brovick at ahrenscg@hotmail.com

Step Three - October 31, 2004

  • Give presentations to at least two organizations. Highly recommend starting with your local homebuilders association.

Step Four - December 31, 2004

  • Recruit at least one builder partner and lender partner in your market to participate in your public awareness
  • With your partners develop public awareness plan
  • E-mail the above to Claudia Ahrens Brovick at ahrenscg@hotmail.com

Step Five - January 31, 2004

  • Have discussions with participating raters and their partners and make a decision on whether to apply to EPA for ENERGY STAR Advertising Partnership.
