Proposed Amendment TECH-2005-04Update the "a" and "b" coefficient values of Table 303.2.2.Proponent: RESNET Standing Technical Committee Proposed Changes: The coefficients given in Table 330.2.2 are modified to reflect the most recent federal minimum standards for equipment. Justification: The proposed amendment updates the table of normalized scoring coefficients (see Table 303.2.2) to reflect changes in the NAECA minimum standards for water heaters (1/2004) and air conditioners and heat pumps (1/2006). This change is required on the basis of existing provisions in the standard that specify that the HERS® reference home shall use the “prevailing federal minimum” standards for equipment efficiency.
